about Jennifer:
I began teaching in 1996 in Baldwin Park, California as a third grade year. I was hired in February and was the fifth teacher that this particular group of students had experienced. Needless to say, it was a challenging year and one that almost moved me away from teaching for good. A variety of different circumstances moved my family and gave me an introduction into the world of special education (which was not something I was readily pursuing). I taught third grade regular ed. for a few years and then ventured into the world of resource where I have been for nine years now, the last seven of which have been with Gilbert Public Schools. I became an NBCT in November 2008 and have since become actively involved in working with future candidates. I truly enjoyed the experience I had and have found it to be invaluable for my teaching and my students.
